Detailed Description

BB-Custom is the standard BirdBlocker system produced to order in any RAL colour. It's designed for projects where coloured solar panels are a deliberate design choice — listed buildings, heritage sites, premium roofing and façade installations where every visible detail matters.

Each order is produced to your specifications using the same UV-stabilised, anti-rodent-enforced material and proven construction as the standard range. The custom finish doesn't compromise durability, fit or performance. Whether it needs to match terracotta, slate or verdigris, BB-Custom is sympathetic to the character of the building.

Shipping & Handling

Generally, the lead time for processing orders is 1-2 business days; however, this cannot be guaranteed. Pickup is not offered. Orders of fewer than 24 units of BirdBlocker are shipped via UPS. While we cannot ensure their service times, 1-2 business days for transit in mainland Europe is a realistic expectation. Shipping charges are calculated at checkout. Initial shipping costs are covered for orders over €150.

Returns & Refunds

We provide a 14-day return policy, which means that after receiving your items, you have 14 days to request a return. To qualify for a return, your product must be in the same condition as you received it – unopened, complete, unused, and in its original packaging. If the product arrives damaged or defective, please contact us immediately at order@weprotectsolar.com so we can assess and resolve the issue. Returns will be refused if they do not meet our requirements or are sent back without prior return authorization. Upon receiving a return, we will inspect the package and notify you of the decision. Authorizations, approvals, and refusals will be communicated via email. Once approved, you will be automatically refunded to your original payment method within 10 days. Processing times may vary due to bank and credit card services as well. 

Shipping costs are non-refundable; therefore, refunds will total the original order amount minus the initial shipping cost.

Listed Buildings & Heritage Conservation

In conservation areas, planning scrutiny applies to every visible component of a solar installation. Colour is often the deciding factor — the wrong finish on any element can prevent consent. BB-Custom is produced in any RAL colour to match the approved panel finish, so the full installation satisfies the aesthetic conditions of the consent.

Case Study:

Skippy Daycare Centre, Kralingen

Skippy Daycare Centre is housed in a traditional school building in Kralingen, Rotterdam — within a rijksbeschermd stadsgezicht, a nationally designated conservation area where any change to a building's exterior requires heritage approval. The project team specified the Eurener MEPV Coloured Series in terracotta. Every other visible component had to match. A standard black protection system would not have passed consent.

BB-Custom was produced in a terracotta RAL colour matched to the Eurener panels and approved by the heritage officer as part of the wider installation consent.
